ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Rockingham County School Board approved the new Technical Center for Rockingham County Public Schools during last night’s meeting.

Superintendent Dr. Larry Shifflett said that last week, the school board had a joint work session with the Board of Supervisors to look at the current design of the new technical center.

“And so just wanted to come before the board to get a public vote for moving forward with the proposed building and design plan for the future technical center in Rockingham County,” said Dr. Shifflett.

After some discussion of designs as well as keeping the board informed of the construction of the building, the vote to approve the technical center was unanimous.
