HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) – The Harrisonburg City Council passed a public hearing item that was a request from KP’S CARS LLC for a special use permit to allow multiple-family dwellings and/or mixed-use buildings on 1812 Erickson Avenue during last night’s meeting.
The plan involves the construction of two buildings, a private road, pedestrian connection and a parking lot between the buildings.
Some of the conditions from the owner-developer are that dwelling units should not have more than 1 bedroom, no more than 3 stories, and minimum of 0.5 parking spaces per dwelling unit.
The plan was passed unanimously with the Council deciding to not include the sidewalk connection between Erickson Avenue and the nearby Walmart.
The construction is expected to last 48 months.
