STAUNTON, VA (Rocktown Now) – Staunton’s Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court is headed to a new facility on West Beverley Street.
According to an online notice, the 25th Judicial District courtrooms located on the first floor of the East Johnson Street location will be closed all next week, December 8th through the 12th, to facilitate the move.
However, authorities emphasize that the Augusta County Juvenile and Domestic Relations and General District Courts will remain open and processing cases as usual during Staunton’s transition.
The new 2020 West Beverley Street courthouse opens Monday, December 15th with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for December 18th, from 4 to 6.
