WOODSTOCK, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Woodstock Fire Department (WFD) responded to a scrapyard fire Tuesday afternoon.
At approximately 4:00 PM, the Woodstock Fire Department, Edinburg Volunteer Fire Company, Toms Brook Fire Department, and Shenandoah County Fire and Rescue were dispatched for a structure fire on Old Valley Pike south of town.
Crews arrived to find a large fire in the metal scrap processing area of the Recycle Management yard. Firefighters contained and eventually extinguished the fire.
12 WFD volunteers answered the alarm.
