STAUNTON, VA (Rocktown Now) – Today, May 8, 2025, Columbia Gas of Virginia broke ground on the site for its new Operations Center in Staunton. This facility is set to accommodate more than 70 employees.

The new center will feature a modern warehouse and a drive-through warehouse loading lane and is designed to streamline logistics and improve service delivery. Inside, the building will feature advanced workflow enhancements aimed at boosting functionality and usability, ensuring a more efficient and productive work environment.

“This new Operations Center reflects our company’s dedication to growth and community investment in Staunton, as well as our ongoing, strong partnership with city leaders and other local leaders,” said Columbia Gas of Virginia President and Chief Operating Officer Jennifer Montague in a press release. “We remain committed to providing safe and reliable natural gas service to all our customers in the area and beyond for many years to come.”

Construction on the new Operations Center is estimated to be completed by April 2026.
