New Creation VA is a non-profit organization and fair-trade shop that focuses on combatting human trafficking through education and job creation.

Harrisonburg will compete for the “Strongest Town” title in the 10th Annual Strongest Town Contest.

The festivities kick off with Downtown Happy Hour on Friday, March 7, from 6-9 PM at the Loft at Liberty Street Mercantile.

The building is being renovated into a multi-use facility featuring office and retail spaces.

The Harrisonburg projects are for Harrisonburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority for the two projects involving the Bluestone Town Center and another is for the Beverly Searles Foundation for the Harrisonburg Family one project.

The event will be held at Valley Lanes on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM.

The drive will run from March 3rd to March 21st.

The mural will be painted at the Navigation Center, which serves as the city’s homeless shelter.

For every orange bag purchased by customers over the next three weeks, five meals will be donated to local hunger-relief partners.

Registration is open until March 7.
