A supermarket sweep for charity is taking place in Staunton Thursday morning. The city’s “Shop to Stop Hunger” event to benefit Blue Ridge Area Food Bank is kicking of today at 10am at the Kroger on Statler Boulevard.

Donation drop-offs will be at Tractor Supply Co in Waynesboro on Friday, March 28th from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

The event will take place on Saturday, March 29, from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The event is on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the RHSPCA, 2170 Old Furnace Road in Harrisonburg.

The exhibition is installed through April 25, 2025.

All proceeds support community gardens that provide over 8,000 lbs. of affordable, fresh, organic produce to Staunton community

The new and improved Westover Skate Park is scheduled to reopen to the community on Friday morning.

The Eastern Mennonite Y-Serve Club is partnering with Harrisonburg Tacos4Life and Feed My Starving Children to pack 100,000 meals for those in need this weekend and could use volunteers.

 Andrew Kohen filed the motion, and the reasoning is due to reading communications he has had with the public. 

National Adoption Week will take place from March 24th to March 30th.
