HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Jay Ripley, owner and tattoo artist at Steel Heart Tattoo, will host an all-day flash tattoo fundraiser this Wednesday, July 29, 2026, benefiting animals at the Rockingham-Harrisonburg SPCA.

From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Steel Heart Tattoo located at 733 E Market St Ste A, Harrisonburg, VA 22801, Ripley will offer a collection of animal-inspired flash tattoos for $100 each, with $80 from every tattoo donated directly to RHSPCA.

The event will be walk-ins only and first come, first served.

The fundraiser reportedly comes at a critical time for RHSPCA. More than 450 animals are currently in the organization’s care, including kittens galore and dogs arriving through unexpected large dog intakes.

“This is an incredibly generous investment of Jay’s time, talent and care,” said Sara Stone, Director of Development at RHSPCA. “Every tattoo completed will help provide food, shelter, veterinary care and another chance for an animal who needs us.”
