STAUNTON, VA (Rocktown Now) — Staunton Public Works says they are squeezing in a fall paving schedule.
Crews are kicking things off in the Hillcrest neighborhood on Monday, Oct. 12. Highlighted on the map in orange, crews will be working on:
• Shawn Circle
• Yount Avenue
• Fox Hill Place
• Oxford Drive
• Sussex Drive
(Fox Hill Drive was completed in 2024, these connecting cul de sacs will complete the work in that area.)
Milling will take place Monday and Tuesday and paving will begin Wednesday.

Public Works say crews plan to move to Baldwin Acres and the Skymont neighborhoods next. “Getting into Skymont is a priority so crews can give those streets a full curb-to-curb refresh following the extensive Columbia Gas pipeline replacement project. Work is starting in Hillcrest to give the utility crews the final time they need to completely wrap up in Skymont.”
