WAYNESBORO, VA (Rocktown Now) — An ongoing fiber network project in the City of Waynesboro may cause traffic delays this week in the Route 250 corridor.

Beginning today, city officials say contractors will be placing and splicing fiber cables at various locations along West Main Street, between Dupont Circle and New Hope Road.

Drivers should expect temporary lane restrictions and onsite traffic control as crews work their way along the corridor.

Those who travel West Main Street daily should plan for a slight increase in drive-times and keep an eye out for crews and changing traffic patterns around the work zone.

The project is scheduled to continue through Friday.
