HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Faniel Abraham Gerensea will serve a year and four months in prison after he pled guilty to committing sex offenses with a child.
According to online records, Gerensea was convicted of one count of Indecent Liberties with a Child by a Custodian this week in Staunton Circuit Court while a second count of the same charge was dropped by prosecutors.
The 21-year-old Gerensea, a former employee at the Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents in Staunton, was sentenced to 5 years in prison with 3 years and 8 months suspended and 5 years of supervised probation following his release.
He is currently being held at Middle River Regional Jail.
