WAYNESBORO, VA (Rocktown Now) — The former employee of a Waynesboro machine shop and her husband, who were arrested on charges related to an alleged embezzlement scheme, will appear before a grand jury.
Online records showed that Linda Lockhart had all eight of her embezzlement charges of over a thousand dollars certified to a grand jury during a hearing Tuesday afternoon in Waynesboro Circuit Court.
Her husband, Donald Lockhart, had his single charge of credit cart fraud also certified to a grand jury.
Investigators found that between February 2025 and February 2026, Linda Lockhart had utilized business funds for unauthorized purposes and had obtained a credit card in the business’s name without the owner’s knowledge.
Both are currently free on bond.
