STAFFORD COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The search for a Probationer who unexpectedly left a work site last month in Augusta County is over.

Lieutenant Leslie Snyder reports Charles Lee Able of Burkeville was arrested yesterday in Stafford County.

It all began September 25th, when Augusta County Sheriff Donald Smith says the 44-year-old Able left his assignment at the Staunton, Augusta, Waynesboro Animal Shelter without authorization.

Despite searches conducted throughout the Verona area over that weekend, deputies were, at the time, unable to locate Able, who was described by authorities as not having a violent criminal history.

The public was then asked to help locate Able following the probation violation.
