AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a skid steer from a property located off Cold Springs Road in the Raphine area of southern Augusta County. The theft occurred sometime between July 16 and July 20, 2026.

Sheriff Donald Smith is asking anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area during this time, or who has information concerning the theft or the current location of the skid steer to contact the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office at (540) 245-5333.
