HOT SPRINGS VA: (WSVA) – Virginia State Police say that five people were killed when a small plane crashed in the Hot Springs section of Bath County yesterday afternoon.
According to the National Transportation Safety Board, the jet went down in the hills near Ingalls Field Airport around 3 o’clock.
We know that none of the two pilots and three passengers on board the aircraft survived the crash. Early reports indicate one of the deceased was a 5-to-7-year-old child.
It remains unclear where the plane originated, nor where it was going.
Federal authorities are investigating possible reasons for the accident.
