SHENANDOAH COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Edinburg man who is facing child pornography charges has reached a plea deal with prosecutors.  

According to online records, Corey Brock Hamman pleaded guilty to eight of the 13 felony charges he was facing during a hearing yesterday morning in Shenandoah County Circuit Court. In exchange, prosecutors declined to pursue the other five charges.

Among the charges he admitted to were three counts of sexual abuse of an animal.

The 32-year-old Hamman was first arrested on April 10 of last year following a months’ long investigation by the Sheriff’s Office regarding the possession of child sexual abuse material.

After further investigation, Sheriff Tim Carter then levied five more counts of bestiality.

He has a sentencing hearing scheduled for March 17 of next year.
