HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The History Channel television series American Pickers is planning a visit to the Shenandoah Valley and is looking for local residents with unique antiques, unusual collections, and items with interesting stories.

The show’s production team is seeking people who have rare or historically significant items tucked away in barns, garages, attics and workshops.

Producers are particularly interested in collections and forgotten treasures that have a connection to American history, as well as individuals who are willing to sell their items.

Residents who have something they believe may interest the show’s pickers, or know someone with a unique collection, are encouraged to submit information to the production team.

Submissions should include the individual’s name, phone number, location, a description of the collection and photographs of the items.

Information can be emailed to americanpickers@cineflix.com or submitted by calling (646) 493-2184.

The production team noted that the show does not visit stores, flea markets, malls, auction businesses, museums or other locations open to the public. The search is focused on private collections and individuals with interesting items they are willing to sell.
