ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Massanutten Technical Center held an official groundbreaking ceremony today for the new Massanutten Technical Center campus at the Innovation Village at Rockingham Tech Park.

Rockingham County School Superintendent Dr. Larry Shifflett said that today’s groundbreaking represents a major milestone for career and technical education in Rockingham County.

“The new MTC facility indicates a powerful commitment from our school board, the board of supervisors, and our community to the impact that CTE has on our students, both at the high school level and adult education,” said Dr. Shifflett.

Dr. Shifflett added that the new technical center will have enough additional space to add a plumbing program and two additional labs that will allow them to add new programs that he said the community needs to support the future workforce.
