STAUNTON, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Frontier Culture Museum of Virginia invites the public to its annual Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 4, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

This “Pay What You Will” event offers families and visitors of all ages an opportunity to experience how Americans marked Independence Day in the 18th and 19th centuries.

The Frontier Culture Museum’s event will include:

  • A reading of the Declaration of Independence
  • Apple pie making and traditional food demonstrations
  • Historic games and activities for all ages
  • Full access to the Museum’s exhibits and historic farms

Guests will have the chance to explore the lives, cultures, and contributions of those who shaped early America, presented in the dynamic setting of the Frontier Culture Museum of Virginia’s historic buildings and costumed interpreters.

Admission for this event on July 4 is Pay What You Will, supporting the Frontier Culture Museum.
