Harrisonburg VA: A Springfield man who was arrested this weekend by James Madison University police while trying to enter an unauthorized residence hall will likely stay in jail until his court hearing next year.
According to online records, Marcellus Alondre Parker was scheduled to appear in Harrisonburg-Rockingham General District Court yesterday for a preliminary hearing on four counts related to the incident, including possessing a weapon with intent to distribute a Schedule I or II drug.
However, the court ordered that hearing continued until January 3rd.
Parker, who is not a J-M-U student, was reportedly arrested early Saturday morning after allegedly trying to get inside a dorm with an unloaded firearm on his person.
He remains in custody.
