WAYNESBORO, VA (Rocktown Now) — The City of Waynesboro will host a community open house on Wednesday, May 6, beginning at 4 p.m. at Kate Collins Middle School (1625 Ivy St, Waynesboro, VA 22980).

This event marks the third of four community meetings, where residents, property owners, and stakeholders will work together to shape the City’s future.

The May 6 meeting is open to everyone, and participants are welcome to arrive anytime during the event.

According to City officials, the meeting will include a series of informational posters and multiple interactive stations. Attendees have the opportunity to respond to an updated vision statement for Waynesboro, provide feedback on neighborhood recommendations, and help identify actions that will make the City’s vision a reality.

The project timeline reportedly spans approximately two years, concluding in early 2027, and involves a robust community and stakeholder engagement process. Further engagement will include an additional community meeting, stakeholder discussions, and interviews.
