ROCKINGHGAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Rockingham County Public Schools (RCPS) have announced their upcoming spring musicals during last night’s school board meeting. 

Supervisor of Fine Arts Becky Ford listed musicals such as The Sound of Music at Broadway High School, Seussical the Musical at East Rockingham High School, and The Little Mermaid at Turner Ashby High School. 

Ford also highlighted the impact of school musicals and how students work as teams to collaborate. 

“It provides resilience. It provides students an opportunity to push themselves because it is not easy. It is a high stress situation, and we make it look easy and that’s what the fun part is. But there’s a lot of hard work,” said Ford.

Ford continued by saying they want to celebrate these students and encourage the community to attend these shows.
