HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Longtime Harrisonburg High School head football coach Tim Sarver passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026.

Sarver coached the Blue Streaks for 26 seasons from 1985 to 2010.

He compiled a record of 216-82 that was culminated with a victory over Graham in the 2001 Group AA, Division 3 state championship game.

Harrisonburg captured 14 Valley District titles under his leadership and Sarver was inducted into the Virginia High School League Hall of Fame in 2011.
