A trial for the Fort Valley man accused of sexually assaulting a minor over three-and-a-half years ago has been delayed for another three months.

According to online records, a three-day trial for Charles Richard McMahon that was set to begin this morning in Shenandoah County Circuit Court will now begin October 11th at the request of McMahon’s defense.

He faces three felony charges, including two counts of parental violation of a child under 15 years old and one count of rape of a victim under 13.

McMahon was arrested in January of last year, over two years after the first alleged crime was committed.
