ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Incumbent Rockingham County school board member Jackie Lohr maintained the District 1 seat after a recount of the November 2025 election results occurred today. 

Candidate Ernest Calhoun petitioned the circuit court for a recount after Lohr won with an 18-point lead. 

The recount results revealed Lohr’s victory with a 17-point lead. 

Lohr thanked her constituents and everyone that helped her in this election. 

“Because it truly was a community effort this time, and I appreciate everyone that showed up and voted. It really, clearly, every vote made a difference, and I’m thankful to everyone,” said Lohr. “It really, clearly, every vote made a difference, and I’m thankful to everyone.”

Lohr said her plans include focusing on the Massanutten Technical Center, behavioral issues in schools and school bus transportation.
