A Page County man has been arrested in connection with an intentional fire set last week at a Friendly City business.

In a release, Harrisonburg Fire said 39-year-old Brandon Williams, of Shenandoah, was taken into custody yesterday by Harrisonburg Fire Marshals, Harrisonburg Police and Shenandoah Police.

He’s facing two felony charges: attempted burning of a structure and burning or destroying personal property.

Williams is accused of setting the fire last Thursday afternoon inside Gabe’s off of East Market Street. Store employees managed to extinguish the flames before emergency crews arrived.

The incident caused an estimated 30-thousand-dollars in damage. Two employees were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
