HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — UPDATE: First responders have cleared the scene, and the police presence has ended.

The Harrisonburg Police Department (HPD) announced there is heavy police presence on University Boulevard near the arboretum as officers respond to a call in the area.

In a post on the department’s social media page, HPD stated there is no threat to the public, but to avoid the area at this this time as first responders are working in the area.
