HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — It is six years and eight months in a federal prison for former Nexus Executive Richard Moore.

The 48-year-old Fishersville man was sentenced this morning in US District Court in Harrisonburg.

Moore pleaded guilty back in January of defrauding the IRS of over $3 million.

A judge recommended that he be placed at the Petersburg Correctional Facility.

He was also ordered to pay $3 million in restitution.

Moore’s motion to terminate the representation of counsel, Mario Williams and John Shoreman, was denied

His troubles are still not over because he, Michael Donovan and Timothy Shipe are accused of defrauding over $400,000 from the brother of the Parkland, Florida school shooter.

That trial is set to begin in March of next year.
