STAUNTON, VA (Rocktown Now) – The first Wawa in Staunton held a grand opening celebration Thursday morning.

The popular gas station is located on 1031 Richmond Avenue across the street from Walmart.

In addition to free-all-day coffee and t-shirts, Wawa also made donations to the Staunton Police Foundation, the Mid-Atlantic Burn Camp, and the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank as part of the grand opening event.

Today’s opening continues the saturation of the Philadelphia-based stores throughout Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley.

Wawa opened their first store in Augusta County in August and their first store in Rockingham County in September.
