HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — A new trial date has been set for the Harrisonburg City Transit bus driver who was arrested earlier this year on sexual abuse charges.
Howard Feldmeier of McGaheysville was scheduled to go to trial on Thursday but, according to online records, a motion was granted last month to continue the trial, and a judge set a new date of January 8th of 2026 during a hearing in Rockingham County Circuit Court.
The 69-year-old Feldmeier was arrested on January 21st after he was indicted by a grand jury on four felony charges–two counts of aggravated sexual battery with a child under 13 years old and two counts of object sexual penetration- penalty with a victim under 13 years old.
Feldmeier was placed on administrative leave pending the conclusion of the case.
The trial is expected to last two days.
