HARRISONBURG, Va – Rockingham County Sheriff Bryan Hutcheson issued an update on the early Saturday morning fatal shooting at the Redpoint Apartment Complex on Newberry Lane.

Hutcheson reported that while his office has been working around the clock to try and solve the crime, there is no new or additional information.

Hutcheson added that it appears to be an isolated event and there is no reason to believe that there is any kind of threat to the general public.

The shooting claimed the lives of 22-year-old D’Angelo Marquise Gray, of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and a 17-year-old Harrisonburg High School student.

Hutcheson stressed that if anyone has information to contact the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office.
