CHESTERFIELD, Va – The Reverend Al Sharpton will deliver the eulogy at the funeral of Irvo Otieno, who died after he was pinned to the floor by seven sheriff’s deputies and several others while he was being admitted to Central State Hospital.

Sharpton’s National Action Network announced the plans for the funeral of the 28-year-old Richmond area man, which will be held Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Chesterfield.

Meanwhile, Virginia U-S Senator Tim Kaine told reporters recently that we can not rely on law enforcement to be the front line on mental health.

Seven deputies and three hospital workers have been charged with second-degree murder in Otieno’s death.
