AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Library Journal has honored an Augusta County woman on their 2025 “Movers and Shakers” list.

Augusta County Library Director, Dr. Jennifer Brown won the publication’s “Innovators” award for spearheading efforts to design a new iteration of the Virginia Leadership Academy that successfully revitalized the program.

Brown previously earned the Virginia Library Association’s 2019 “Librarian of the Year” having a go-getter attitude and being her peers’ collaborator of choice when developing projects and initiatives.

The Library Journal annually selects 50 “Movers” from nominations provided by libraries from across the nation each fall.
