HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) – Harrisonburg City Council approved an ordinance change that will allow for cat adoptions in the central business district.
Public Works Director Tom Hartman told the council at this week’s meeting that the change was requested by Cat’s Cradle because they were unable to complete cat adoptions at their downtown office.
“They want to maintain their existing space and continue operating there but also be able to do the transaction there,” Hartman explained. “This would also help Cat Café, which is located on Liberty Street, because they would also be able to take advantage of the opportunity.”
The ordinance change only pertains to cat adoptions.
