HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) – According to a study by Cinch, a company that provides marketing software for gyms, Harrisonburg has 9.5 gyms per 100,000 residents. This is below the national average of 13.2 gyms per 100,000 residents.
The data also shows a 76.7% share of adults that are physically active, 82.1% of adults in good health, and a 34.4% share of adults with obesity.
The study researched U.S. cities with the most gyms per capita. The goal is to compare the growth and popularity of gyms to the number of people who live in that city along with health data.
