BRIDGEWATER, VA (Rocktown Now) ー Bridgewater College’s Symphonic Band, under the direction of Dr. Christine Carrillo, will perform at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 11 in Cole Hall on Bridgewater College’s campus.

The Symphonic Band will perform “Suite of Old American Dances” by Robert Russell Bennett, “How To Train Your Dragon” by John Powell and Sean O’Loughlin, “Deep River” by Benjamin Horne, “Blue and Green Music” by Samuel R. Hazo, “Forward/Still” by Omar Thomas and “Un Cafecito” by Dennis Llinás.

“Blue and Green Music” has a unique arrangement, as it is based on artist Georgia O’Keefe’s 1921 painting of the same name.

The event is free and open to the public.
