ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Registration for Pre-K and kindergarten for all Rockingham County Public Elementary Schools is now open until March 7.

Children who will be 5 years old on or before September 30, 2025, can register for kindergarten. Children who will be 4 years old on or before September 30, 2025, can register for Pre-K.

A birth certificate, proof of residency (911 address), and physical exam and immunization record are required for both Pre-K and Kindergarten.

Proof of income is required to apply for the Pre-K program, as part of the Virginia Preschool Initiative. Parents will be schedule for an interview and student screening after applying.

Registration is available online at www.rcps.net. All schools will also have a specific date and time available for in-person registration.
