ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — A Rockingham County school has been selected to receive two national awards.
The 2024 Turner Ashby High School Activities yearbook has been named both a “Crown Finalist” by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association and a “Pacemaker Finalist” by the National Scholastic Press Association according to an online release.
Only 48 high school yearbooks in the entire U-S received these national awards, which recognize “the best of scholastic journalism.”
T-A’s yearbook “The Crag” is the only yearbook in Virginia to be honored by both organizations this year.
The staff will receive the Crown award in March at a ceremony in New York City and the Pacemaker award in April in Seattle.
