HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The summer edition of the Brent Berry Family Food Drive kicks off Tuesday at Bridgewater Foods.

Coordinator Bucky Berry explained that the month-long food drive will be from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. and folks can make a $10 pre-packaged donation.

“Just make out the check to the Bridgewater Foods and they’ll buy the food in bulk, and they’ll bring it right out, and we’ll put it on the bus,” Berry said. “All the food stays here in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County.”

The food drive runs through August 2nd and Berry says the goal is to raise between five and eight thousand pounds of food.
