ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – It appears that the Luray Police Officer who was arrested last month for drunk driving in Rockingham County may be in a little more hot water.
Online records show that Michael Wagoner failed to appear in General District Court for a hearing Monday morning.
He was then given a show cause summons on a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear.
He is due in court on July 8 for his next hearing.
Wagoner was charged with DWI first offense after he was arrested on May 26. That is a class 1 misdemeanor, which is punishable by up to a year in prison and a 25-hundred dollar fine.
Wagoner’s picture has since been removed from the town’s website.
This story has been updated to include Wagoner’s show cause summons for failure to appear in court.
