HARRISONBURG VA: (Rocktown Now) – High pressure along with a northwest wind will lower the humidity and make for a sunny Wednesday around the Shenandoah Valley. Winds shift Thursday, causing an increase in humidity on Thursday. Stormy weather will return Friday and continue into the weekend, as a strong cold front and associated area of low pressure moves southeast and over the Mid-Atlantic Friday into Saturday. The timing on the arrival of these storms remains uncertain and will help determine if we see storms as early as Friday evening or waiting until Saturday. The low may call off the coast and bring a heavy and prolonged rain to the Shenandoah Valley this weekend.
