The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch in effect until 8:00 PM this evening.

Town officials have reported that the potential occurrence to the Virginia Department of Health and they will continue to monitor the situation throughout the summer.

The shooting suspect is identified as 23-year-old Joseph William Kestner, Jr. of Waynesboro.
