BUENA VISTA, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Staunton man who was arrested last December in connection with a series of vehicle tampering incidents in several residential areas of Buena Vista was sentenced to two years in prison.
According to online records, Cody Joseph Shores reached a plea deal with prosecutors recently during a hearing in Augusta County General District Court.
Shores pleaded guilty to three of the four charges he faced, including felony eluding and reckless driving.
A judge then sentenced the 28-year-old Shores to seven years in prison with five of those years suspended.
Shores was arrested on December 6th after authorities developed investigative leads using information gathered from license place reader technology.
