HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — A local hospital checks in near the top nationally.

The Lown Institute released its 2026 hospital honor roll this week and Sentara RMH is ranked 10th in the country.

Nearly 2,700 acute care hospitals across the country were analyzed, with rankings on equity, value and patient outcomes.

Sentara was ranked second in the commonwealth, only behind Lewisgale Hospital Alleghany in Low Moor, which ranked seventh nationally.

According to the report, Sentara scored well when it comes to patient safety and value.
