ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Rockingham County School Board approved the bid recommendation for food service equipment at McGaheysville Elementary School to the low bidder during last night’s meeting. 

Director of Food and Nutrition Services Jennifer Williams said that the bid was properly specified and advertised and was sent to eight firms. 

“So tonight I’m presenting you the three responsive bidders with total bid costs,” said Williams. “Of the bids, it is my recommendation to award the contract to the bidder, Singer Ashland Equipment, in the
amount of $312,027.00.”

The vote to approve the bid was unanimous.
