ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Rockingham County School Board was presented with an update on the Superintendent’s Maintenance Project Committee during last night’s meeting.
Chief Finance and Operations Officer Justin Moyers said the purpose of this committee was to review the maintenance projects that are being done on a yearly basis that were over $60,000.
“And try to get some input from other stakeholders in the county on what our process is, how we rank projects, and what we can do better, and then what we can bring to the board to help that process during budget time,” said Moyers.
He added that this year the process was delayed after the budget was set.
The plan for the future is to have the meeting in October so that the priorities can be brought to the board through the budget process.
