WAYNESBORO, VA (Rocktown Now) — One woman was arrested and another remains wanted after an alleged shoplifting spree in Waynesboro.
Police Captain Benjamin Lemons said officers located two women at a traffic stop who had allegedly taken items from Target and cited both for shoplifting.
The driver, 29-year-old Casey Napier, was arrested on five misdemeanor counts of Petty Larceny and released pending her September 8 appearance in General District Court.
The passenger, later identified as Clarrissa Casiday, provided officers with a false identity during the traffic stop resulting in her summons for Petit Larceny being issued to the incorrect person.
The 33-year-old Casiday remains wanted on multiple charges and anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to call the Waynesboro Police Department at 540-942-6675.
