AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Augusta County Public Schools announced the appointment of Lauren Brenneman as Assistant Principal for Stuarts Draft Elementary School effective July 1, 2026.
According to an online post, during the 2025-26 school year, Brenneman served as the Administrative Intern at Riverheads Elementary. Prior to becoming an administrator, she taught 4th Grade at Wilson Elementary School and 6th Grade Math at Wilson Middle School (WMS). While at WMS, she also served as the Fall Athletics Coordinator.
A graduate of Stuarts Draft High School; Brenneman earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Mennonite University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from James Madison University. During her teaching career, Brenneman served as the sponsor of the Student Council Association (SCA) and 6th Grade Team Leader.
“Mrs. Brenneman has demonstrated that she is ready to take the next step as an administrator in Augusta County Public Schools. She is a strong instructional leader who has organized effective in-service teacher training and provided meaningful feedback to educators through the evaluation process. She is a visible leader and prioritizes being accessible to teachers and students. Mrs. Brenneman is also direct and positive in her approach to communication. We look forward to her leadership in the Stuarts Draft community,” says Dr. Kelly Troxell, Division Superintendent.
