LURAY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Following the recent retirement of Chief Bow Cook, the Luray Police Department has announced the appointment of a new Interim Chief of Police.

Officials say Lieutenant Lonnie Foster will oversee the department’s daily operations in the temporary role during the leadership transition.

The Luray Police Department will reportedly continue normal operations and, according to an online statement, remains committed to providing professional and reliable service to the community throughout this transition.
