HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — A Harrisonburg man who led authorities on a chase last month after allegedly stealing a vehicle has a trial date.

According to online records, Leonardo Aleman was indicted on five counts during a grand jury hearing Monday afternoon in Rockingham County Circuit Court.

A judge then set a September 30, 2026, trial date.

Among the charges he faces include grand larceny and eluding, both felonies.

The 26-year-old Aleman was taken into custody on April 15 after crashing a stolen vehicle on Warsaw Avenue in Harrisonburg during an attempt to flee pursuing officers.

He then tried to flee on foot but was later located near the railroad tracks on Maryland Avenue.
